The Vedic Period
After Indus Valley in the Indian history starts with the new and great civilization kown as Vedic Civilization. The founder of this civilization is called Aryans. The Aryans were of great height, good physique and white complexion. They were great and courageous. The word "Arya" is a Sanskrit word which means superior caste. There was a dispute among the historians that from where actually Aryans has come from. Most plausiable theory was the theory of Max Muller that the Aryans lived in Central Asia from there some went to Europe and others came to India. The geographical conditions, natural scenes, animals, birds and vegetation described in Rigveda are found in central Asia.
HOW ARYANS CAME TO INDIA
The migration of Aryans into India was gradual. They enter India over a period of few centuries. They entered India through Sapta Sindhu.

THE RIGVEDIC CIVILIZATION
The Rigvedic period of the history is called early Vedic age and the period of Yajur. Sam and Atharva is h known as later vedic age .
COMPARISON BETWEENRIGVEDIC AND LATER VEDIC CIVILIZATION
There are mant similaritie in rigvedic and later vedic period . But in Vedic period the Aryans adopted some new things which created some changes such as :-
1) emergence of cities
2) position of women is better in Rigvedic Period
3) civilization spread in north as as well as south.
CONCLUSION
The Vedic period is a very important aspect of Indian History after Indus Valley Civilization it is the great and important civilization.
